TEAM DREAMWORKS!!

I sent out an e-mail to all my friends and aquaintances that I know who enjoy running.. and when I say running I don't mean if you can run an 8 minute mile or even a 6 minute mile.. if you can jog/walk you can join me.

Here is what the e-mail said:

I am trying to put a team together “ TEAM DREAMWORKS”  for a 5K race coming up next month.  It is the Home For The Holidays 5K & 1K Family fun run.  Sunday Nov 14^th 2010 at Denver’s City Park.  All proceeds support the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless.  Please let me know if you are interested.

I want to thank the first ( and only ..so far)  two members of my team.. Vanessa and Kevin! Actually I only asked Vanessa.. I don't even know Kevin yet.. Here is the e-mail Is recieved back from Vanessa:

We are going to raise so much money for the Homeless it is going to be amazing!

For those of you reading this you are probably thinking.. yeah right how are 3 people going to raise so much money. Because I only need 2 people and then they are going to get two people and those two are going to get two... and so on.. and so on...NOW DO YOU SEE IT! 

WELL....if you still don't see it.  You will soon.  I will post again and let you see as this team builds and TOGETHER WE ARE GOING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Finally Friday!

Well it only took me untill now to get it done.  Regardless, I DID IT!  I am so excited to make this happen.  It is one of the reasons why I became a distributor for OrGano Gold.  I wanted to be able to give others a product that will improve their health but also be able to pay it forward too!

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

In an attempt for me to pay it forward and put my money where my mouth is almost literally.  I have decided to take a portion of all sales from Coffee4BetterHealth and donate it to Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers.

TIMING IS EVERYTHING?

What bettter time for my son to end up in the Emergency Room. 

When I finally had the opportunity to get out of the house for a while and play Bunco with friends.  Just as we were calling it a night my son calls to tell me he is on his way to the Emergency Room because his throat is bleeding.  He and his older brother just had their tonsills out 7 days ago.  Days 1 and 7 seem to be the "magical" number for the bleeding problems to occur.  Looks like 7 IS my lucky number after all.  OK..Forget I said that. ( for my friends who joke with me all the time to just have "one" more baby you can forget it! )

Well after spending hours in the Emergency Room the bleeding was not improving.  And several calls to his surgeon we figured it best to transfer him to the Emergency Dept. where his surgeon was on call.  Well that was the best thing that could have happened not sure what it was but by the time we reached the other hospital the bleeding had stopped and the plan for him to have to go back into surgery was called off.  We spent a couple more hours under observation and he was finally released about 6:00 am.

Needless to say my morning run did not happen and the fact that I am functioning on about 2 hours of broken sleep I will be postponing my run until tomorrow.  However on the bright side it has given me the opportunity to put my coffee to the test.  Let's see if one cup can keeping me running until bedtime. 

Not only that I had been wondering what I was going to post about today and althought this is not the story I had in mind.   At least it was something to get the creative JAVA juices flowing.  I just hope I have enough
steam to make it to the end of the day. ( or the chance to make some really bad puns ) I'll blame that on the lack of sleep.

Seeing how this will probably be my last post for today I want eveyone to know Devin is fine. Things are slowly getting back to normal.  I will make sure to post again if anything changes.

Now time to get lunch ready and see what the rest of the day has in store for me.  Hopefully nothing a that has to do with hospitals, bleeding or having to take the kids anywhere. This mommy has had enough for one day THANKYOUVERYMUCH!  I won't go into the court date we missed this morning or the problem I encountered after getting the kids hair cut this morning or that fact that I was then late picking my 5 year old up from Kindergarten... After all tomorrow is another day and we can catch up then.
